The Queen’s annual Christmas Speech was broadcast at 3pm GMT on Christmas Day in the UK and the Commonwealth. In her 69th Christmas Broadcast, which was recorded in the White Drawing Room at Windsor Castle earlier this month, and produced by ITN, the Queen reflected on a difficult year, most notably the Death and Funeral of the Duke of Edinburgh. The Queen wore her Sapphire Chrysanthemum Brooch, worn on her Honeymoon and 60th Wedding Anniversary.

His birth marked a new beginning.
